Village Administrator's Office

The Village of Bradley operates under the Mayor/Council form of government. The Village President appoints the Village Administrator, with the advice and consent of the Board of Trustees, to serve as the chief administrative officer, responsible for managing the daily operations and providing direction to all Village departments. The Administrator reports directly to the Village President. This combines the leadership and policy-making of elected officials with the professional administrative training, education and experience of a Village Administrator.


Under this form of government, the elected representatives establish policies that direct the Village policies. The Administrator is charged with the implementation of these policies in an efficient and effective manner.


The Village Administrator is hired to serve the Board and the community and to bring the local government the benefits of training and experience in administering local government projects and programs on behalf of the governing body.


The Administrator's duties include:

  • Overseeing five village departments
  • Recruiting, hiring and supervising the government's staff
  • Overseeing day-to-day operations of the Village
  • Serving as the Board's advisor
