Village Clerk Michael J. LaGesse was first elected in 2001. Mike had previously served on the Bradley Zoning Board of Appeals and currently serves on the Kankakee County Board.
The Clerk's Office
The Village Clerk's office has numerous responsibilities according to our Village Code and the Illinois Compiled Statutes. Elected to a four year term, the part-time Village Clerk and the full-time appointed Deputy Clerk are always available to help the residents of Bradley who may have questions.
Following are some basic duties of the office of the Village Clerk:
Keeper of Village seal
Attest and seal all Village documents
Maintain record of all Village documents
Maintain Village ordinances, resolutions and proclamations
Keep register of all licenses and permits
Attend meetings of the corporate authorities and keep a full record of their proceedings
The office of the Village Clerk is located in the Main Office at the Bradley Village Hall, 147 S. Michigan Avenue. Business hours are Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
